Level 1 Trauma Centers

Transfer Programs

WMCHealth provides seamless transfer program services with our 24-hour MedEvac helicopter and ground transport to ensure you or your loved one can access the highest level of care as quickly as possible. Our transfer uses STAT Flight-staffed helicopters, which include teams of critical care flight nurses and paramedics to provide constant care during the transfer process. We get patients where they need to be and can transfer them to the hospital closest to home when they’re ready to heal. 

Premier Stroke Care

WMCHealth has the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in the area, earning the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. This award recognizes WMCHealth’s commitment to and success in providing stroke patients with excellent care based on the latest evidence-based scientific guidelines.

Behavioral Health Emergency Services

WMCHealth also provides behavioral health emergency services 24/7. We offer inpatient admission and outpatient referrals to sister clinics and programs. 

Dedicated OB Emergency Department 

WMCHealth’s Good Samaritan Hospital is home to the only dedicated Obstetrics Emergency Department in the region, which ensures pregnant women have access to specially trained physicians and nurses and receive expert care at a moment’s notice.
