Diagnosing Neck Conditions

Your evaluation starts with a thorough exam from one of our ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialists. During your visit, your provider will examine your neck and gently check any swelling or mass. Many of our offices have ultrasound available on-site, which allows your specialist to evaluate the area right away and, if needed, guide a needle biopsy for further testing.

Having these services in one place helps you get answers quickly. If additional tests are needed, your specialist may order imaging such as MRI, CT, or PET scans to confirm your diagnosis and plan the most effective treatment.

Some neck conditions will resolve on their own, while others may require medication or surgery. Our ENT specialists are highly experienced in diagnosing and treating neck conditions. Treatment may include medication, surgery or another plan best suited to you.
