Program Details
The Same-Day Cardiology Program offers immediate access to a cardiologist who is prepared to evaluate your symptoms and concerns with utmost attention.
The Same-Day Cardiology Program at WMCHealth is available to the community weekdays from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Holidays are excluded.)
- Appointments requested between 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. will be scheduled for the same day.
- Appointments requested after 2 p.m. will occur within 24 hours.
Am I a Candidate for the Same-Day Cardiology Program?
At WMCHealth, we encourage everyone to be mindful of their heart health. That’s why we allow anyone to request a same-day heart appointment for any reason, including personal convenience.
Note: The Same-Day Cardiology Program is only for new patients. Established cardiology patients can call their provider’s office.
Same-Day Cardiology Program Services
Every patient is granted a consultation with a cardiologist who will perform a thorough, non-invasive evaluation. They will determine whether diagnostic tests are needed or if you’re in need of urgent attention at the nearest emergency department.
Same-day cardiology services include, but are not limited to, the following diagnostic tests to help pinpoint the underlying cause of your symptoms:
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Blood pressure measurement
- Blood draw for lab analysis
- Echocardiogram
