Welcome
Welcome to the HealthAlliance Hospital Podiatric Residency Program. Our program is built on developing well-rounded podiatric physicians through consistent clinical and surgical exposure, responsibility, and hands-on experience.
Training is centered on understanding the full scope of podiatric medicine and surgery, with an emphasis on clinical judgment, technical development, and thoughtful decision-making.
As a smaller, close-knit program, there is a strong emphasis on direct mentorship and one-on-one training. Residents work closely with attending physicians in both clinical and surgical settings, allowing for continuous feedback, progressive responsibility, and individualized growth over time.
Residents are actively involved in patient care early in training and are expected to take ownership of their role within the team. This environment promotes independence, accountability, and the ability to think through complex problems, including understanding when operative intervention is appropriate and when it is not.
We are a program that continues to evolve, with ongoing efforts to strengthen structure, expand training opportunities, and improve the overall resident experience. We value individuals who are motivated, accountable, and committed to developing their skills within the full scope of the profession.
