September 1st - September 7th National Childhood Injury Prevention Week

September 1st -7th is National Childhood Injury Prevention Week.

At Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, injury prevention is a critical part of our mission. Many childhood injuries can be prevented through education, awareness, proper safety equipment, and supervision.

As we recognize National Childhood Injury Prevention Week, our Pediatric Trauma Program encourages families to take simple steps to keep children safe, including using car seats and seat belts properly, ensuring children wear helmets when riding bikes and scooters, practicing water safety, and reducing fall hazards in and around the home.

Together, we can help keep children safe, healthy, and thriving.
