Join us for a special, family-friendly potting party on National Cancer Survivors Day as we honor the strength, resilience, and journeys of our cancer survivors. This uplifting event brings together patients, families, and care teams to celebrate survivorship, share stories, and inspire hope.

You are invited to decorate a flowerpot and plant a custom arrangement to take home as a symbol of growth and healing. Enjoy lunch, celebratory cake, music from a live DJ, and activities for all ages.

Celebrate with us and grow hope—together.

Cancer Survivorship

Today, more people live longer after cancer than ever before. As of 2025, 18.6 million Americans are living with a history of cancer, a number projected to reach 22 million by 2035. The overall five-year cancer survival rate is now 70%, up from 63% in the 1990s.

At Westchester Medical Center (WMC), the survivorship care extends beyond treatment, supporting the physical, emotional, and long-term well-being of every patient. Through personalized care plans and dedicated services for both adults and children, WMCHealth is committed to helping survivors thrive at every stage.

Survivorship is a journey – and WMCHealth is here to support its patients every step of the way.

If you wish to support cancer patients at WMC and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, you can help by donating to the Oncology Survivors Reunion Fund.
