This is where advancing stroke care happens.

Our network delivers an advanced network of stroke care, from risk management to treatment and recovery

Stroke care is complex. Here you will find excellence in techniques, technology, and talent without leaving the Hudson Valley. We bring you advanced emergency care, diagnostics, and treatments - high tech and time tested - for all stroke care, plus a full range of neurological and neurosurgical care, including headaches, seizures, movement disorders, aneurysms and tumors. All you need, and close to home.

From Kingston to Suffern, Poughkeepsie to Port Jervis and Westchester, we have developed an advanced network that is leading the way in stroke care. And we bring it to you with care, support and compassion like we would for our own families.

Every 40 seconds, someone in the United States experiences a stroke. Nearly 800,000 people will have a stroke this year. When it comes to a stroke, every second counts.

Westchester Medical Center (WMC), the flagship of Westchester Medical Center Health Network, is the only hospital in the Hudson Valley recognized as a comprehensive stroke center. Good Samaritan Hospital, MidHudson Regional Hospital and HealthAlliance Hospital are primary stroke centers. Read more.

From the moment EMS notifies one of our hospitals of an incoming possible stroke patient, we go into action. A 24/7 team of triage nurses, radiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons and pharmacists prepare for the patient's arrival.

For emergencies call 911 and get to the nearest stroke center.

For non-emergency office appointments, please call 914.449.4880.
