news item

MidHudson Regional Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), welcomes longtime local family physician Robert C. Holland, MD, FAAP, to Advanced Family Medicine in Poughkeepsie.

Dr. Holland practices at the hospital, at 1 Webster Ave., Suite 202, with family physician J. Keith Festa, MD, MidHudson Regional Hospital’s Associate Director of Medical Affairs. The office phone number is 845-244-8500.

Originally from Poughkeepsie, Dr. Holland has practiced family medicine in Dutchess County almost exclusively since 1987.

He first worked as a physician at Community Health Plans in Poughkeepsie and then spent most of the past 20 years in private solo practice in Pleasant Valley.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Holland received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, affiliated with WMCHealth, and completed a residency in family medicine through the State University of New York at Stony Brook at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, now Long Island Community Hospital, in Patchogue.

Family medicine is a primary care specialty that provides personalized and lifelong healthcare for all family members during all of life’s phases: infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and the senior years. Family doctors take into account all aspects of a patient’s life, seeing biological, psychological and social factors as interlinked.

The doctors at Advanced Family Medicine, a division of WMCHealth’s Advanced Physician Services, treat conditions ranging from acute illnesses to chronic-disease management and coordinate care provided by specialists. They also embrace groundbreaking techniques, technology and equipment that advance diagnoses, result in innovate treatments and improve ongoing care — and, just as important, enhance quality of life.

Dr. Holland lives in Pleasant Valley.
