WMC’s Annual Gala Raises Funds and Honors ShopRite Supermarkets

Posted By: Advancing Care

Held at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, the 39th Annual Westchester Medical Center Gala featured performances by Broadway performers and benefited Westchester Medical Center, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and the Behavioral Health Center, all members of WMCHealth, located on its flagship campus in Valhalla.

At the event, WMCHealth recognized corporate sponsor ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc., with the 2018 Community Partner Award and honored ShopRite by naming its support center for families the ShopRite Caregiver Center. While loved ones are treated at Westchester Medical Center, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital or the Behavioral Health Center, specially trained staff at the ShopRite Caregiver Center provide comfort, counseling and access to quiet spaces.

Through point-of-sale fundraising campaigns in ShopRite stores in the Hudson Valley, more than $1.3 million has been raised to support Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
