Marking a Major Milestone

Posted By: Advancing Care

Attendees at the 38th Annual Westchester Medical Center Gala gathered at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx to commemorate the Medical Center’s 100 years of service to the Hudson Valley.

The event celebrated the history of Westchester Medical Center, which began in 1917, first as a U.S. Army hospital during World War I and evolved over the many decades to become not only the flagship of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) but also the region’s largest healthcare provider and lifesaving critical-care resource. Past honorees were also recognized with medals in honor of their service and contributions to the Medical Center and its patients over the years. In addition to Westchester Medical Center, the gala benefited Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and the Behavioral Health Center, also members of WMCHealth.
