“Westchester Medical Center has traditionally been the centerpiece for the Hudson Valley’s advanced care services,” said Michael D. Israel, WMCHealth President and CEO. “The new, state-of-the-art Ambulatory Care Pavilion sets a new standard for patient-centered services in the region and signifies the establishment of an ambulatory care hub on WMCHealth’s Valhalla campus.”

The first and second floors of the Ambulatory Care Pavilion are the new home of WMCHealth Advanced Imaging and the WMCHealth Heart and Vascular Institute. The second floor is the new hub of Westchester Medical Center’s Ambulatory Surgery Program, and floors three through eight will house medical practices and office space.

Designed to address the evolving world of healthcare delivery, the Ambulatory Care Pavilion accommodates WMCHealth’s growing medical services, showcases the latest healthcare technologies and provides a patient-centered healing environment.

Special architectural, interior design and technology features include:

  • A steel-and-glass structure that maximizes calming, natural light
  • Advanced ambient lighting and animation displays
  • 1,000 additional parking spaces
  • Private dressing rooms in Advanced Imaging
  • New and enhanced medical and diagnostic technologies from WMCHealth’s healthcare technology partner, Philips.

The $230-million project is Westchester County’s largest healthcare construction project since Westchester Medical Center’s 400,000-square-foot main tower was built in 1977, and the addition of the 250,000-square-foot Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in 2004. In just over a decade, WMCHealth has invested nearly $1 billion in projects on its Valhalla campus.

“The Ambulatory Care Pavilion is not just an investment in steel and glass, but a true investment by Westchester Medical Center in the physical and mental health of Hudson Valley residents, putting Westchester County and the entire Hudson Valley at the forefront of healthcare delivery,” said Israel.

Patients should confirm the location with their provider when scheduling their next appointment. When visiting the Ambulatory Care Pavilion, please use Parking Lot 1. Parking is free and must be validated at the time of appointment.
