Diversity and Community Engagement

We believe diversity is defined very broadly. For us, diversity encompasses the myriad of physical, intellectual, geographical, cultural, educational, social and philosophical characteristics that make each patient, each family, each member of our workforce, and each community that we serve unique.

Inclusive Environment
We believe inclusive environments are created when every member who makes up the WMCHealth community is recognized, respected, actively engaged and has the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to our mission, support our vision, and enhance our VITAL values.

Community Engagement
We believe community engagement with the diverse populations that make up the Hudson Valley is crucial to our success. We acknowledge the key role that external stakeholders play in our informed decision making and we embrace the power of these collaborations. In bringing these three principles together, WMCHealth is able to leverage the strength of its diversity to create inclusive environments that drive innovation, promote patient-centered care, support enriched work experiences, and advance health and wellness throughout the Hudson Valley.

Community Relations

At WMC Health, we work collaboratively with our external partners in the diverse communities we serve throughout the Hudson Valley Region to address the health issues that impact our patient population. Our external partners include: community-based organization, academic institutions, business and civic groups, faith-based institutions, government, and external service providers. We understand that creating and promoting sustainable health is a joint effort and we are proud to continue investing in these vital partnerships.
