As seen in the December 2020 Issue of Advancing Care.

The 16th Annual Go the Distance Virtual Walk, the largest annual fundraiser for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), the only acute-care children’s hospital for the Hudson Valley, went virtual in 2020. Team captains signed up their virtual team and completed a socially distanced one-mile walk on the course of their choosing in early Fall.

The Go the Distance Virtual Walk was led by our two brave ambassadors: Carmen Sumano, a 7-year-old aplastic anemia survivor, and Jorden Hutchins, a 9-year-old Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C) survivor. Both were treated at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
More than $150,000 was raised by team captains, sponsors & supporters of Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Donations are still being accepted by calling 914.493.2575.
